Master Makeup Artistry

In this action-packed program, you will be fully equipped with all the ins and outs of the industry and gain the skills needed to thrive as a freelance makeup artist. Our complete makeup training program consists of 100 in-class hours of makeup education and 18 hours of hairstyling education for makeup artists. You’ll learn fundamental and advanced techniques of makeup artistry while also focusing on crucial skills such as skin prep, sanitation standards, and hairstyling.

Extensive Makeup Program

This extensive, hands-on course consists of 50 in-class hours and is designed to teach you all the fundamentals and techniques of makeup artistry. It primarily focuses on personal education to ensure you feel confident with an everyday makeup look and transitioning it into evening looks. Within this MUA extensive course, you will also be introduced to professional makeup artistry with bridal basics, eye makeup classes, and creative tutorials!

Hairstyling Program

Do you have clients asking if you can style hair on top of doing makeup? Or do you have a passion for highlighting a person’s natural beauty — from hair to makeup? Stand apart in the beauty industry by joining our hairstyling program for makeup artists hosted in New York City. This three-week program is designed to advance the skills of professional makeup artists to achieve basic hairstyles leading to an HMUA designation or a hair and makeup artist.

Portfolio Building

Having an impeccable portfolio is vital to obtaining new clients in today’s industry. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our brand new portfolio building program in New York City. This program gives artists an opportunity to add professionally captured images to their portfolios. It’s also an excellent fit for anyone looking to have first-hand on-set experience. You’ll work directly with experienced instructors to develop and capture your best work.

Skincare Workshop

The Makeup Academy is excited to host a weekend workshop covering ALL THINGS SKIN! This will be a 1-day instructional, hands-on, interactive, and fun workshop. The s kincare workshop in New York City, will focus on skincare and skin prep and how to accommodate all skin types, conditions, and concerns. Students will become proficient in skin analysis and treatment using skincare products leading to healthy, youthful, glowing skin.
